Samantha Mullaney FCCA

Senior Accountant

Sam was born in Northern Ireland, but spent her childhood growing up in Stamford, Lincolnshire. After attending secondary school in Peterborough she obtained a place at De Montford University in Leicester for a BA (Hons) degree in Business Administration.

On leaving university, Sam plunged straight into a career in accountancy, studying for her ACCA qualification whilst working in an accountancy practice. She then moved into the industry sector, climbing the career ladder to become UK Finance Manager for various software and manufacturing firms.

On the birth of her son, Sam decided to move back into private practice as this gave her the opportunity to have a more balanced home and work lifestyle.

Sam joined AA Chartered Accountants in 2019 to take on a role as a Senior Accountant and has a client-facing role, looking after the personal and business affairs of a range of clients from different sectors. Her approachable manner and her obvious command of accountancy issues make her a valued member of the team and a favourite with clients.

Sam and her husband have a small property portfolio of their own, which gives her great first-hand experience to help our valued property-investing clientele.

Outside work, Sam loves attending pop concerts and reading, and is an active member of the parent committee for her son’s school and has helped raise much-needed school funds - but her weekends are often taken up standing on the sideline of a football pitch as a football mum.
