Shaz Nawaz FCA

Shaz is the founder and the driving force behind aa Chartered Accountants. As a qualified chartered accountant, he is passionate about using his professional skills to facilitate business growth - whether this is his own or that of his clients.

If you think of accountants as being number-crunchers or bean-counters, then you’re in for a real eye-opener when you meet Shaz! His long experience of both accountancy practice and advanced taxation strategies have resulted in improving both the business profits and the personal wealth retention of many of his clients. Not only that, but he lives the business principles that he shares with his clients and this is particularly apparent in his growing property portfolio.

An inspirational public speaker, he is much in demand for events and seminars, on both general business growth and property acquisition and development. Shaz is the author of several books and many articles.

Shaz brings the same qualities of knowledge, incisiveness and enthusiasm to leading the team at aa Chartered Accountants. His example and leadership plays to the strengths of the individual team members and he is always ready to listen to new ideas and to reward initiative.

Shaz is committed to changing lives, both those of his clients, colleagues, friends and family, but also those less fortunate than himself. He leads the firm in supporting the Buy One Give One charity and is involved in various local charities which seek to improve the lot of disadvantaged sectors and individuals. His dedication has led him to successfully stand for office as a local authority councillor (where he has rapidly risen to the position of leader of a major political faction) and he is instrumental in driving forward plans to constantly improve the facilities and status of his home city of Peterborough, especially in the furtherance of its digital economy and the development of a niche university.

Outside his career, Shaz is a committed family man with three lively young sons. When he can take time off from business, council and family responsibilities, he’s a keen follower of cricket.
